Have you tried

width: 100%;
margin: auto;

?

I haven't tested it yet so I don't know if that's the solution you're
looking for.

Subject: [MVLUG] "stretchy" html input button?

There has *got* to be a way to do this, and it has got to be easy.
But I can't find it....

I want two form elements on a row: a checkbox, and a button. I want
the checkbox to take however much space it takes, and for the button
to stretch to fill the rest of the row. I want to be able to resize
the window, and have the button still take the rest of the row.

I've tried setting the padding and margin to 0 (under the theory that
that would require the width to expand to fit), with no luck.

The closest I've found to what I want is to set the width to something
like 90%, but that leaves space on the right. Setting it to 100% puts
a line break between the checkbox and the button.

What I really want is a CSS property like

width:  expand;

but no luck so far....
